Come along to our photo sessions to dust off your camera and get snap-happy with a professional photography instructor.

Brush up on your camera skills and learn new photography techniques whilst on a photo walk class with other local keen photographers!

We run two hour photography sessions based on a photography theme/technique/style and they take place in various locations in Toowoomba .

  • New to photography? We also run a popular 3 hour Beginners Guide to Photography Class once a month. And once in a while we will run special niche 3 hour classes, for example, Astrophotography - so do subscribe to our newsletter to know when the next on is!

  • Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to keen amateurs. The photography instructor is there to help you with camera settings and provide any advice you need.

  • What to bring? We recommend bringing a camera that has full manual mode or semi-manual modes (Aperture or Shutter Priority). Compact cameras and smartphones also welcome!

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Toowoomba Photography Group on Facebook to share your photos after the session.

Good meet-up, unfortunately cut short by rain. When the rain set-in, we unanimously decided not to go to the pools etc but to return to our vehicles.

Daniel's enthusiasm is contagious and his obvious love for photography shines through. His discussions are never instructions but general ideas and suggestions of how to explore certain pursuits. His style encouraged cameraderie amongst participants.

Enjoyed it immensely! Learnt more about my camera in those 2 hours than in the 7 years of owning it.

It was a really windy day, and the branch that this tiny little striated pardalote was sitting on was moving a lot. Getting an in focus shot was challenging, but I managed to get a few nice shots including this one where you can see his feathers being ruffled by the wind.

While waiting for an Osprey to come a bit closer, heard the iconic noise this beautiful blue birds make.I turn around to see this little Kingfisher sitting on a branch about 10 metres from me, it sat nicely there for about 15 minutes. This was the first time I have been able to capture a Kingfisher they are normally too quick for me. I can't wait to capture shots of a Kingfisher again.

Shot with Nikon D3500 edited in Lightroom. I am passionate about bird photography and am a believer as an artist there is beauty in all things. I believe that this is proof that the lowly ibis can shine

These little birds seem to live in my backyard. One day i decided to sit patiently and try to capture them. It was a challenge at the most as they?re ridiculously fast. Out of the few hundred snaps, this was by far the most entertaining one.

Title or Location: Crocodile Bridge Camp, Kruger National Park, South Africa
As the sun starts to set, the Bush Babies of Crocodile Bridge rest camp awaken. I sat patiently by the pole in the fence, waiting for them to emerge. These nocturnal beauties cautiously pop their heads up, then back down, before jumping off into the setting sky, eager for their night ahead.

As a Bulgarian myself I was visiting my country during the summer of 2024. Astrophotography is my favourite type of photography, so I joined one of the masterclasses organised by one of the world leading astrophotographers - Mihail Minkov. And this picture is the result.
